AAS Hi-Tea @ Lawry’s on 6 August 2011

Thanks to AAS member, Mr Tay Choon Mong of Tay Choon Mong Agency’s partial sponsorship, fellow members got to celebrate National Day early and enjoy a sumptuous high tea in fine dining style at a very special rate. The classy Private Dining Room at Lawry’s The Prime Rib Restaurant lent an air of sophistication and cosiness that formed the perfect setting for tête-à-tête among members.

Senior members like Dr Ng Boon Keng and Mr A Francis Xavier caught up with latest happenings in the alumni circle while Miss Avanna Tan, a fresh Business Graduate from Curtin University, had the opportunity to make new friends and network with seniors in the industry. Even Mr Philip Kwa who had previously served on the AAS Exco in the late 1990s, came to renew acquaintances.

The whole atmosphere was aptly summarised by Mr Ken Tan – “It was a fantastic get-together event for fellow AAS members to enjoy the hi-tea while catching up with one another. We like the view, the ambience and the informal session on a Saturday afternoon” – and evidenced by the following photos.

When asked for a quote, Avanna had this to say, “It has been my honour to have participated in the recent AAS event and having to meet and interact with many seniors in various industries. Also being able to relate with each of our overseas experience has brought back good memories. I’m looking forward to the next event and possibly bringing more friends along to join the family.”

Thank you, Avanna, we hope to see you and your friends at the AAS Big Walk on 24 September and AAS 56th Anniversary Dinner on 26 October 2011.
