Macquarie University Alumni Association Singapore is excited to present “2017 Red White Nation”. The event is part of our efforts to create informal occasions where our alumni members and friends can network with one another, enjoy wine tasting and get reacquainted with Australia. The Australian High Commissioner, His Excellency Mr Bruce Gosper, also a distinguished Macquarie University alumnus, has very kindly offered his official residence, The Australian High Commissioner’s Residences, as venue for this inaugural event on the evening of the 3rd of August 2017.

Ticketing and Payment details
Admission ticket price is $20 per pax. The ticket includes admission to the venue, servings of finger food, canapes, and the highlight of the night – Petersons Wines wine tastings. Four different varieties of wines will be showcased by Petersons Wines, with food to pair that is carefully selected by the Australian High Commission’s very own chefs and catering team. Wine specialists from Petersons Wines will be present at the event to introduce the wines and deliver the Petersons hospitality experience to you. At the end of the evening, there will be a lucky draw with some premium Petersons Wines to be given away.

About Petersons Wines
The Hunter Valley is one of Australia’s most famous wine regions and is popular for their Semillon variety of wines. The region has also produced other award winning wines such as Shiraz, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. A prominent winemaker in the region, Petersons Wines was founded in 1971 by Ian Peterson and his family and produced their first vintage in 1981. Since its humble beginnings, Petersons have become recognised for producing premium, award winning wines – a tradition that continues till today. Over the years, Petersons has expanded another 2 vineyards in Mudgee and Armidale. Today, Ian Peterson’s son, Colin Peterson, runs the winery and is proud to share his produce at this event and at his first overseas cellar door here in Singapore. Four different varieties of wines will be showcased by Petersons, paired with delicacies selected by the Australian High Commission’s very own Chefs and catering team. Wine specialists will also be present at the event to introduce the wines and deliver the Petersons hospitality experience to you. At the end of the evening, there will also be a lucky draw with some premium Petersons wines to be given away.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Yes all attendees must provide their NRIC / FIN / PhotoID during registration and the same ID or Photo ID must be produced at the venue when requested for security clearance.
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Taxi or public transport is recommended. There are only a few parking spots along the road. Please be considerate to residence in the area when parking. Special Traffic Instructions: For all guests in own vehicles or using hired vehicles kindly enter White House Park from the Dalvey Road side and exit via Scotts Road to assist with one way traffic flows.
What can I bring into the event?
No firearms, sharp or dangerous objects. There will be security checks at the entrance.
What’s the refund policy?
Strictly no refunds once payment is made. No shows will not be refunded as well.
Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
Tickets are not transferrable without updating the information online. Follow instructions/links in the email sent to your email address in order to update your tickets. This is because of security requirements related to entering the compound.
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn’t match the person who attends?
Due to security checks this is not allowed. Kindly see options above to update your registration details. There will be strict checks to match Name, PhotoID, and Ticket Names.
