The university established the Singapore campus of James Cook University in 2003 as part of its expressed intent of internationalising its activities and offers university level programs in the areas of Business, IT, Psychology, Education, Accounting, Arts, Environmental Science, Games Design, Tourism and Hospitality in Singapore. The university also offers Higher Degree by Research programs such as Doctor of Philosophy, Master of Philosophy and pathways to a higher degree.

Deakin University is an Australian public university with approximately 53,000 higher education students in 2016. Established in 1974, the University was named after the leader of the Australian federation movement and the nation’s second Prime Minister, Alfred Deakin.
